Meet Our PGA of America Golf Professional
Brad Calaway
Brad brings his Calaway Golf Academy to Tee Time Social!
Brad has been a PGA Professional since 1997. He has been a Class A Head Golf Professional at resort, public, semi-private, and private courses over the past 24 years. His love for the game started at the age of 10. Brad played both high school and college golf before turning professional. He has a passion for teaching the game of golf to players of all abilities. Brad is PGA Hope trained, providing lessons to those with physical limitations. Brad has taught limited mobility golfers, amputees, and beginners of all ages. Brad has instructed many junior golfers and has coached successful teams in the Junior PGA League. Brad’s teaching philosophy is to work with the student’s current swing, making necessary changes for improvement, one change at a time.
Brad reminds his students that in the game of golf, the ball does not move until you swing through it, and if the student has history with a sport that has a ball in motion, those sports are far more difficult to play. Keep swing thoughts simple, and for those beginning the game, learn the swing before a golf ball is introduced.
Each lesson will give detailed numbers on total distance, carry distance, ball speed, ball direction, launch angle, backspin, side spin, impact angle, head speed, and smash factor. Video analysis will also be available.
